I was with you until frogs... ok fine I am still with you... they could take a leap and land on your face at any second.

If it were my list, I'd add "weather" to the end and it'd be complete!

I'm with you on #1! I have nightmares about that stuff all of the time!

I agree with murder but that's the only one. any noise I hear at night keeps me up FOREVER!

I am with you on the first one...maybe I watch too much Investigation Channel? The second scares me in the sense of where my boobs might end up after I have a kid. I've never been scared of frogs, but we have those little sticky tree frogs that get on our porch/patio, and they creep me out. One jumped up at my FACE while I was putting the trash can at the curb last night and I almost died! LOL. I do have an irrational fear of birds and clowns though.

I am afraid of being held up at gunpoint. That scares the beejeezus out of me. And lately that is all that I see on the news!!!

Childbirth is a bit frightening to me too!! I can't watch all those shows like "A Baby Story" on TLC...if I see it, I automatically cross my legs. Just sayin.

Pregnancy is like a horror movie. Some strange alien person GROWS INSIDE of you?!?! That just seems.... not right. ew

I'm with you on that

I'm terrified of being kidnapped!! Ha your pregnancy posts on twitter have been crackin me up (The pooping thing weirds me the f out too)

Rachel McPhillips said...

Yes.. #1 I am with you... notsomuch with the others. I am crazy afraid of birds. Don't ask me to eat outside if there are pigeons around.

Crystal said...

One of my apartments in Orlando would have been your worst nightmare. It was broken into twice (bye, brand new laptop!) and in the fall there were about a million tiny frogs that would jump through my front door when I opened it.

Becca Christensen said...

Um the kids thing - yes. I even randomly have fears that I will be the 2nd immaculate conception. Bahaha.

Your #1 is my #1.. i'm so paranoid all the time when I'm by myself!

Heather said...

...FROGS?!

I am always worried about #1. Ben makes fun of me for it, but I think it's a perfectly rational fear!

hotpants™ said...

Murder? Yes. Frogs? I'm not terrified, but I don't exactly like them either. Childbirth? Been there, done that. I lived.

mine - cruises, catching on fire at the gas pump & craigslist

Not even gonna lie. When my boyfriend is out of town, or is out with his friends until late, I lock myself in the bedroom when I go to sleep and I worry the whole night about someone breaking in. I think about what I would have to do to escape. Since we live on a second floor condo, I'd have to exit via the sliding glass door and then jump off our porch which would mean I'd land in a semi-forest so I also wear underwear, a bra, pajama pants, and a tshirt when he's not there so I know I won't have to run around in almost nothing.

Whew. The things that run through our minds.

lauren nicole said...

childbirth absolutely causes anxiety, but fear? not for me. sure, it's going to suck.. but it happens everyday. just think, if they can do it - so can you! :D

mine would have to be snakes, heights, clowns, and adhesives.

yes, adhesives are a huuuge fear of mine. no one believes me. i dare people to come toward me with tape or stickers if they want to test me. just don't be alarmed when your nose gets broken :P

Frogs? Really?

Amanda @ It's Blogworthy said...

The 16 year olds on 16 and pregnant can do it, YOU CAN TOO. Really, it's nothing to fear. I was so scared of it before I got pregnant, but when the time comes, you'll experience each part and then once you give birth, it's ONE DAY out of your life. If you're going to fear anything, fear the first 4 weeks of your baby's life...now THAT is scary!

Frogs are way to sneaky...they jump too fast and they are slimy, so I'm with you on that one. I personally am terrified the same amount by roaches.

Casey said...

I also am terrified of the freakshow that is childbirth. A flipping HUMAN BEING pops out of your tummy. It's just not right.

Cathy said...

I was with you until frogs. Change that to mice and snakes for me.

I don't know that I'm really "afraid" of pregnancy so much as I just really have no desire to go through it. And I def don't want all the crap that comes along with it, you know, like a child.

Melanie said...

I do fear being murdered. I live alone, and while it is a safe neighborhood, sometimes I 'hear' things as I'm in bedroom with all of the lights off. What if no one finds me for days?? Aughhhh!

I also find the whole idea of parenthood scary. I've kept some friends' children, and think, "There is no way I can do this!"

Frogs?? Lol.

Get out of town girlfriend... My favorite thing in life is FROGS! Literally I'd probably stop a car to save a frog.. Well not really but you get the point.. :) My BF hates them too though

Teisha said...

1. Having someone kidnap/muder one of my kids.
2. Pregnancy/childbirth is easy peasy, just wait til they grow up...that's the hard part :)
3. Spiders, holy crap I just peed myself

Cori said...

Your number one is totally understandable; but, number two isn't that bad. It is painful, yes. However, it is SO temporary. The fear you continually have everyday thereafter is much worse. Loving something so much is scary!!

I'm not a big fan of frogs either. I get it. :)

Hutch said...

Frogs?! Over Spiders? You know you're going to have to do an entire post explaining that one!

Pregnancy/Childbirth should scare you :)

star said...

I agree with 1 and 2. However, I am not scared of being pregnant, but I am scared of how much childbirth will actually hurt! Some of my biggest fears are snakes, bugs and elevators!

Ms Kayso said...

I can see why someone unfollowed you. Maybe it was the frogs? LOL jk

Christy said...

Frogs? No. Birds? Absolutely!! I am freakishly terrified! : )

PeaceLoveApplesauce said...

Ummmm, #1-- yes. The other 2? I've survived! lololol

I am pregnant and am TOTALLY scared of pregnancy and childbirth (in fact I am sort of in denial about child birth at this point!)

#1 -- HELL YES. I've always been terrified of someone breaking into our house or apartment. I would have no idea what to do. I have nightmares about it alllll the time.

frogs? Interesting heeee

I am afraid of BIRDS

I have been robbed, no more fear there, I just give them what they want.

I worry about not having enough money

I also worry about my kids

sigh

that is all

Im afraid of being robbed, attacked, raped! Hardcore! Im also afraid of palm trees

Jamie Pickle said...

I am always scared that some asshole with road rage is going to shoot at me while I'm driving. Either because I am driving bad (CA/aggressive driver here) or because I am bad at honking or something when people are being hella slow!

.:Chelsey:. said...

I'm scared to death of pregnancy. I don't like pain..at all! When people talk about giving birth, it actually makes me slightly nauseous. I can't wait to be a mom though, I just wish I wouldn't have to birth the child.

Bre said...

Being attacked/raped is my worst fear. That and spiders.

MiMi said...

Cats.
I'm scared of cats.

Kerbi said...

I would rank childbirth #1! What is it about frogs that freak you out?

Elizabeth said...

Yes, I think about all of these!!

Claire Kiefer said...

Hahaha, this is awesome. I don't mean to make fun of your fears, but they're a little funny. I guess that's the nature of fears/phobias--that they are slightly unreasonable (at least the frogs one). I am not afraid of frogs or snakes but I am absolutely terrified of medical things like aneurysms, blood clots, and worst of all . . . seizures. Seriously, I start to feel anxiety just typing the word. I saw a kid have one when I was 9 and have never been the same. :|

Sara @ Domestically Challenged said...

Girl, I have had 2 kids and am still scared of pregnancy and childbirth. I am not an earth mother.
Frogs? Not from afar, but up close? Pretty much, yes.

Shelley said...

1.) I can TOTALLY relate. This has ALWAYS been a huge fear of mine too. It doesn't help when you have a husband who works nights. Having a gun by the bed helps some :-)

2.) Dude. The countdown is on and I'm just trying not to freak myself out too much over this one. It's going to happen and I will just have to deal! Someday you will get to the point where you know it will suck but will do it anyway cuz you want a baby.

3.) You lost me. :-) I used to want a froggy theme for a nursery if I had a boy.

Crazy Shenanigans-JMO said...

I completely agree with 1 &2. I'd also add drowning!

Mrs. C said...

Agreed with the comment above!

Meghan said...

Girl, I am so with you on #2 and #3! I HATE FROGS!

I also have a fear of my car going over a bridge and submerging into water.

Caroline at Her Own Eden said...

1) completely agree
2) terrifying
3) eh?? I'd probably put roaches or snakes in this place

Kristin said...

#2 used to scare me...but now that I've been through it, I know what to expect. I am, however, forever freaked out by the prospect of #1! Make sure you stop over to our blog today. A surprise awaits you there!

Das Gorlaches said...

I try not to obsess over robbery, but: I do believe that pigeons try to attack me on a regular basis; I am not scared of being pregnant but I am freaked out about actually giving birth; and, I am oddly scared of things catching on fire, to the point where I unplug stuff at night. This may be because I recently caught two blow dryers on fire over here..

Kristin said...

Frogs? I love frogs. They're cute.

I am afraid of vines. They're creepy and give me the heebie jeebies. (Thanks Scooby Doo.)

frogs are my MOST feared animal! ...i thought i was the only one who felt this way. lol

Nicole said...

Your first ranks right up there on my list too!!!

Daily Desirables said...

maybe not frogs, but definitely the first one! i always have nightmares about being killed/kidnapped!

Christina said...

I was afraid of childbirth, but it wasn't that bad at all. I'm afraid of being robbed, or having lurkers outside my house. And I didn't know I was afraid of frogs until two weeks ago when there were 10 (yes TEN!!!) in my garage. It got really cold out one night and they snuck in between a gap in the wall and garage door. They were just babies so they hopped spastically. Fa-reaked me out!!! Ew, I just got goose bumps. I made my husband fill the gap with cement that night! I have a fear of moths, butterflies and lady bugs, so I totally understand irrational fears!
