let's talk flat irons!
i have been using flat irons for a long time. when i was in high school, i went through a ton of flat irons. all of them were pretty cheap ($20-$30) and were bought from a drug store. these flat irons always lead to broken and damaged hair. i was SO thankful that a friend introduced me to CHI flat irons when i was in college. i have been using CHI flat irons for the past 6 years or so and i have been pretty impressed. recently i was contacted by misikko, a company who claims to have the best hair dryers and flat irons! i was so excited when they offered to send me the HANA titanium 1.5" flat iron to review. i will admit that i was a little skeptical that it would even compare to my beloved CHI.
last week, i received this box filled with goodies:
on saturday, i used the HANA titanium 1.5" flat iron for the first time..
..and i was VERY impressed! like i said before, i was skeptical that it would be better than my CHI, but it exceeded my expectations! the titanium plates make the flat iron snag-proof which is a big plus! i hate when my hair snags or breaks while using a flat iron! also, i love the fact that the HANA titanium has adjustable heat settings (140-450 F)! it also heats up incredibly fast and the 360 degree swivel cord is definitely a plus!
the results are pretty awesome, don't you think?

Wow, that's a great little perk! I use a Croc flat iron, one of my friends who's a stylist gave it to me. It's fantastic!

Your hair looks great! I use a Solia flat iron. I googled "Best Flat Iron" and got to a website called folica.com which rated the flat irons based on customer reviews. I got the #2 flat iron because the #1 was almost double the money. I love my flat iron and that website.
That's awesome! I use a sedu and she is my very best friend. Gotten me through a lot in the past couple years!
Oh yea, I am a lifelong flat iron fiend! I have a chi now but have been trying to find another brand since I go through these babies like it's nothing (and don't worry my hair looks worse than that when I wake up!). Your hair looks awesome after!

Wow, the results are amazing!! I have always used the cheaper drug store flat irons..my hair is naturally pretty straight so I just use to to get any odd kinks out.
I swear by my flat iron. It's a Sedu. Expensive as heck but well worth it. I tried going with a CHI after I heard all the good things about it, but it wasn't made for my hair. I have super thick, wavy hair and the CHI didn't straighten nearly as well as my Sedu.
Maybe one day when the Sedu no longer impresses me, I'll branch out into another brand. Or, of course, I get a review offer ;-)

Wow! I'm impressed! You hair looks amazing! I love my pink Jose Eber straightner though. It cost me an arm and a leg, so I will be using it for a long while! It works wonders on my hair!
I burned through 2 CHI's in less than 3 years. They are not my fav!

I am a current Chi fan, but I may have to convert...
1. You should always wear your hair like the 'before' picture. Always.
2. I use a Chi.
3. Why hasn't Hana contacted me?! I have the worst 'before' hair ever.
I have tried cheap flat irons on the past, and settled with it, until I went to my mom's and forgot mine. I borrowed her chi, and it ended up coming home with me. I absolutely love the chi vs a cheaper version!

Like I told you already on Twitter :), I recently got a new flat iron. It's the HerStyler, and the plates are 100% ceramic to prevent breakage. It also comes with a lifetime warranty, which I loved and it's purple cheetah print.
Your hair looks fab! My 3rd CHI just broke so I decided to try something else. I ordered a Solia based on reviews on Folica.com and it should be here this week!

I went from a CHI to a GHD and it was a major improvement.
It would be hard to beat my GHD, but if it ever fails me I will check out HANA for sure!
It looks great! I just recently bought a Solia and really like it.
That is an awesome before & after - they should pay you for that! =) so do you wash/dry at night then straighten in the morning? I'm not sure if I could salvage mine.
Wow.. I'd love to get my hands on that one. I don't even know what mine is, but it was an hairdresser bought one and cost somewhere in the triple digits but it is OLD now.

Oh, I'm all about my Chi! I don't know if I could switch. lol I've been a Chi girl for years. I look a little like Einstein when I wake up and my flat iron makes it all better. =)

Personally, I don't flat iron my hair that much, so I still use a drugstore flat iron. That and having an infant kinda cuts down on my hair appliance buying =)

Ok, I'm legit so jealous of all these hair tool reviews! This flat iron looks amazing! I use my hot pink CHI almost daily even though I have pretty straight hair. I really like the way it smoothes everything and gives it a nice shine.
Nice hair!! My daughter calls it "skinny hair" when I straighten mine.--- I wonder if they have irons available for my bod??

It looks like it works amazingly well! I'm jealous, mine is just simply a revlon, cheap iron. I don't use it as often as I did years ago, but for something like this one I might convert to straightening every day again!
