here's what i got in my june box:
(descriptions taken from the birchbox website)
stila one step bronze
This bronzing serum may look like a sci-fi invention, but don’t be intimidated. The three-in-one primer, bronzer, and skin perfector addresses our three main concerns: oversized pores, unevenness, and lackluster skintone. Made with a triple helix of bronzing, highlighting, and illuminating pigments, the creamy formula has a mousse-like consistency, and is subtly laced with coppery shimmer. We love how it blends easily and dries to a matte finish. Plus, it keeps your skin’s oil levels in check, so your makeup doesn’t slide off midway through the day.
theBalm® cosmetics Stainiac
The tinted gel leaves a lasting stain on lips and cheeks. Since it’s water-based, it has a longer setting time than most quick-dry stains, which means it won’t leave any unsightly streaks behind as long as you take care to blend well. Use a single coat for a subtle look or layer it on for a more visible (yet still discrete) hue.
Masqueology Pore Minimizing Mask
Each single-use mask may look like, well, wet paper, but it's actually dripping with complexion-saving ingredients. For starters, sodium hyaluronate prevents water loss and enhances your skin’s ability to soak up moisture. Next, panthenol calms red, irritated skin, while mushroom extract is a natural brightener that fades the look of acne scars and brown spots alike. Finally, ceramide 3 hydrates and helps skin look smoother, with less visible pores.
Comodynes Self-Tanning Intensive
Orange streaks are the telltale sign of a self-tan gone awry. Happily, this Spanish brand’s genius towelettes are designed to give you uniform all-over color. A bestseller in Europe, they landed on our shores just in time for bikini season. These single-use wipes deliver a natural tan on face and body that’s more intensely bronze than the brand’s regular self-tanners. Even so, the formula adjusts to your skin tone, so you don’t have to worry about ending up with an un-matching tan.
tili Bags Small Collection 1
Traveling can be a stressful experience—whether we’re going through airport security or catching a subway during rush hour. After spilling the contents of our purse in public one too many times, we turned to tili’s stylish reusable bags. They’re small enough to fit inside your purse or carry-on but large enough to hold all your lip glosses, loose change, or travel-sized toiletries. Each pack comes in three colorful varieties.
John Varvatos Star U.S.A.
Dads and younger brothers alike dig this dapper scent. Housed in smoky glass with a spring top reminiscent of a vintage beer bottle, John Varvatos’ cologne, like his designs, exudes a combination of off-kilter downtown cool and elegant prep.
i think this was the most 'me' box that i've ever gotten- every product seemed to be picked just for my needs. first of all, that full sized bronzer made me SO happy. i've been wanting to try a liquid bronzer and the fact that this is a full size product and is valued at $30+ is just plain awesome. also, the tanning towels, haven't used 'em yet, but obviously birchbox knew that i'm in serious need of a tan. LOVE the stainiac on my lips! it actually shows up much more sheer than it looks in the tube. you can add layers of it to make it darker though. my pores suck, so i really hope the pore mask works! the little baggie is cute and practical. no comment on the men's cologne yet, hopefully hubs likes it.
