when blog friends become best friends.

years ago, when i started this blog, i really had no idea that i would form genuine friendships with the people who live in my computer. as time went on and i started communicating more and more with people, i realized that these aren't just random people that i follow/follow me, but they have become my friends. i know these people would welcome me into their home if i was in their city. they would go out of their way to meet me if they were in houston. they have sent me birthday cards and presents. they have had my back and encouraged me during hard times. they have brought a smile to my face more times than i could ever count. they care about me. and i care about them too. it's really a strange phenomenon if you think about it. i feel so close to so many of you, but i've never met the majority of you in person. blogging/twitter really has connected me with the most amazing people. these people i'm referring to? yeah, i'm talking about you, and you, and YOU!

along those same lines, i never expected that some of the houston bloggers i have met would become my best friends. i talk to them every single day for hours at a time. we have celebrated weddings and babies. we have shared tears of happiness and sadness. no matter what happens, i know they will always be there for me.

i feel so blessed to have such amazing friends in my life.

as is standard in any bff relationship, once you make it official you've gotta get bff bracelets! the lovely lesley at LesCargo made us these adorable bracelets. not only does her shop include the cutest bracelets (perfect for bff's), but it also includes adorable headbands, hair clips, and other jewelry. i've got my eyes on her nautical set of 3 bracelets! love love LOVE them! the best part of her shop is that all of these cute items are so reasonably priced! you know i can't pass up a great deal!

now go buy your own bracelet so we can all be virtual bff! ;)

have you had any blog friends turn into best friends?

*i was given this bracelet in exchange for this post. all opinions are my own.*

I have blog friends that I let know about my divorce before anyone else knew... they were the only ones I knew I could go to when I was hurting and wouldn't be judged.

This world is pretty special and I'm so happy to be part of it!

I've never met any of my blog friends...for some reason I attract bloggers that live across the Country. No fun :( But still...I've made some pretty amazing friends through blogging. I love it, and it definitely wasn't something I had expected when I first started blogging.

This is exactly why I started blogging the first place. I moved to Houston totally and completely clueless on how to meet people. I'm so thankful that I've met friends and I am always looking to meet more! Coming from a place where I have 70 sorority sisters at a time to support you, it's weird being on your own. But the blog world has been amazing!

Truth: I have no friends in Houston other than the bloggers I've met at two meet-ups! Hahaha!

It's been a year since we moved from San Diego to Houston. Most people meet new friends through work, but I only work full-time with two people -- married doctors. But blogging has been amazing for me. And it's exactly like you said: I would go out of my way to meet my blogging friends if I was in their city.

In the meantime, I'm loving the blogger meet-ups, and I can't wait for the next one!

And I love those bracelets!

Is it weird that I consider people I never met some of my best friends?

Cause seriously, some of my blogging friends (you included) are so much truer and more "real" friendships to me then people in my day-to-day life!

xoxoxoxoxo

P.S. -> I reallllllly wish I lived closer to you all!!!

Yes indeed I have! I've a couple best friends, although we don't live near eachother :( But that's okay! I think if I get to see them at least once a year, I would be a happy camper!
