REVIEW: Dr. Jart+ Premium BB Cream

according to the sephora website, this bb cream is "a moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum. This all-in-one product also includes advanced brightening properties. Ideal under makeup, its natural looking coverage minimizes the appearance of imperfections and evens the skintone. Antioxidant bio-peptides and adenosine protect skin from harsh environmental factors while restoring firmness and elasticity."

here are my thoughts:
pros
-coverage: this product provides MUCH more coverage than the garnier bb cream. i actually prefer to wear this bb cream by itself with only a hint of blush added to my face. i don't normally leave my house without foundation on, so the fact that i will wear this product alone says a lot!
-moisturizing: provides a pretty good amount of moisture but still works fine with my oily skin.
-protection: this bb cream has an SPF of 45! perfect for those hot summer days when you don't want to wear a full face of makeup.
-blending: goes on smoothly and blends easily. i apply it with my fingers.

cons
-shade: i'd say this is best suited for those with fair to medium skin tones. it does have a bit of a pink tint to it, which may not work for everyone.
-cost: this product retails for about $39, which is one of the more pricey bb creams. i do truly believe you get what you pay for in this instance though!

i have tried a few bb creams lately. some were pretty good (smashbox, the face shop) and some were pretty bad (garnier), but overall, i've found that the dr jart premium is the one for me! the coverage + ability to control shine while still moisturizing + the high SPF is what really makes it the winner in my book!

have you found a bb cream that works for you??

I actually use the Garnier BB cream and love it. But I think it's because I have very pale, dry skin. So, most of the cons you found work in my favor. Maybelline also has a BB cream out that I want to try.

I'm so simple...I don't have a lot of products...not even BB. But it sounds like something I would be interested in...especially the whole not wearing foundation thing.

I got that in my Birchbox and didn't like it at first, but now it's my go to this summer! Definitely a winner!

I'm glad that you noticed it looked pink. I'm not sure that would look right on me. Thanks for the review!

I've been using the "too faced" bb cream and I really like it. Like the Dr. Jart one, I feel like I can wear it alone with a little blush or bronzer. I'll have to try this one next!

I can't wait to try this. That Garnier one sucks, my face is still breaking out. I'm supposed to be getting the Bosica one in my Birchbox, if my Birchbox ever shows up.

I haven't tried any BB creams yet, I am just too set in my ways with what I already use. But, I have heard that this one is the best one out of them all.

I may need to try this - I have been on the fence about BB creams, but this sounds pretty good!!

Great review! I got a sample of this in the Sephora sun saftey kit and loved it. I also got its sister product in a Birchbox (has green packaging). I definitely think they are worth every penny and I plan the buy the full size!

I actually really like the Garnier BB cream! I've been suing it for a long time now. I don't like foundations or BB creams with lot's of coverage, so the Garnier one is perfect for me!

I definitely want to try more BB creams though

I think you might have me sold on this Dr. Jart...sounds like it is tinted? You think it would look ok on me? I have been looking for something that would smooth me out under my foundation but something that is not to cakey or thick.

I'm new to the whole "BB" cream thing. I think I got this in one of my Birchboxs and used it..but I don't recall there being a tint to it.
I still haven't used that...um..whatever it's called...brain fart...not blush but ____. HA! That you taught me how to use ;) I wonder if I can use it like you're using this

Anyways...glad you like it :)

AND - when is your Birchbox linkup? <3

I'm glad it worked out good for you! I still say the Smashbox is amazing. I don't wear foundation when I wear the Smashbox BB cream either & it seems to keep my oily skin under control. It actually seems to make me sweat less too.

I got the boscia BB in this months Birchbox & I am excited to try it because it is self-adjusting. Did you get it? I guess I will find out soon. : )

Did you get a chance to try Maybelline and Loreal BB cream yet? I gave the maybelline one away in my giveaway, but really wanted it for myself.
