a few weeks ago, on e.l.f.'s birthday, they ran a deal for 50% off everything on their website. at that point, there were a few e.l.f. products that i had tried and LOVED and there were some more that i wanted to try, so i figured this would be the perfect opportunity to get a bunch of already reasonably priced beauty products for even cheaper!
here's my haul:
- e.l.f. Essential Hypershine Gloss- Berry Cherry & Vixen- i just love this lip gloss and the fact that it only costs $1 makes me love it even more!
- e.l.f. Studio Cream Eyeliner- Coffee & Copper- this is my all time favorite eyeliner! it is so much easier to apply than a pencil or liquid liner. i already had it in black and decided i needed to add a few more colors to my collection. if there is one e.l.f. product you should try, it's this one!
- e.l.f. Essential Shimmering Facial Whip- Pink Lemonade & Lilac Petal- i was pleasantly surprised by these! they are highly pigmented and are great for highlighting! a little goes a long way with these! for only $1, i think i'm going to stock up on every color! lol.
- e.l.f. Studio Mineral Infused Face Primer- decent primer. has a silicone base so the texture is similar to smashbox primer. i didn't love it, but i didn't hate it. i will say that the pump is AWFUL though. i'll be sticking with smashbox, but i'll keep this in my makeup bag as a back-up!
- e.l.f. Studio Single Eyeshadow- Raspberry Truffle- this color is not nearly as rich and pigmented as it looks in the pan and there was too much fallout. probably won't purchase any more of their eyeshadows.
- e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder- Translucent- would you believe me if i told you that i stopped using my fancy make up for ever hd microfinish powder for this?! well, BELIEVE IT. it is not identical, but does a really good job. the fact that it's $25 cheaper is what sealed the deal for me!
- e.l.f. Studio High Definition Undereye Setting Powder- Sheer- great product! brightens and has a little bit of shimmer! i really like this stuff!
- e.l.f. Essential Shine Eraser- blotting papers that contain green tea extract! thumbs up!
- e.l.f. Studio Kabuki Face Brush- LOVE. THIS. BRUSH. it is so full and soft with very minimal shedding.
- e.l.f. Studio Stipple Brush- also a great brush!
- e.l.f. Essential Zit Zapper- meh. not impressed. and this stuff smells really bad- like a strong chemical smell. i didn't notice any difference after using it.
have you tried any e.l.f. products?
e.l.f. haul + review!

I have tried some e.l.f. products. From the ones you got I have tried the lip gloss, HD powder and Face Primer. I loved the lip gloss and primer, but the powder wasn´t really my cup of tea.
I love some elf products! So budget friendly :)
I have most of these products minus the eyeshadow because I felt the same way about it as you do! I am IN.LOVE. with my kabuki brush!!! I just think it's fun to say. And use. lol!!!
I really want to try the HD undereye setting powder...wonder if it's only available online?? Never seen it in stores!
xoxo
I tried my first ever elf product {the high def powder} and really liked it! I'm going to try some more for sure now.
I also took advantage of their sale that week but have yet to try most of my products. What is wrong with me? Haha, I did get the Cream Eyeliner though because I've heard amazing things so now I'm even more excited.
I haven't been impressed with their eyeshadows either and really want to try that powder! I must say though, I did not like their stipple brush. Thought it was just too flimsy. I am a fan of the shimmering facial whip though :)
I need to give ELF more of a chance. I have a few lip glosses, but that's about it. P.S. where do you make your collages?!
love that elf eyeliner, it is my favorite!! i really want to try some of those primers, next on my list :) great review!!
I haven't tried their products but am definitely going to be on the look out now. ;)
What brush do you use to apply the eyeliner? I have it but the brush that came with it is not so good.
I've tried a few e.l.f products, they are pretty good for the price! What program did you use for that collage? looks so pretty!
I've never used anything but a pencil for eyeliner...how do you apply it??
I use their all over sticks as eyeshadow primers and it really works!! I also use their Mist & Set spray and love it. I have that kabuki brush and you and I feel the same way about it it. I know I have some more of their products that I like, I just can't think of them now. I like the brand though, its not my favorite, but it is a good one.
I've had really hit and miss luck with elf. There are a few things I LOVE (like the eyeliner pens), and some products that really suck. (I've done a few reviews - http://blog.lovemanythings.net/search/label/e.l.f.)
Given that most of their stuff is only a dollar, though, I think it's worth the gamble for the fun of getting a big ol' box of makeup to try out! And I love that Target & Wal-Mart are starting to carry elf products!
I've only tried Elf shadows so far and I love them! I can't believe everything is so inexpensive and it's this good! I really want to try the lipgloss now!
Great review! Now I'm looking forward to receiveing the items I purchased last week even more. I wonder how the baked shadow is? I wanted to try that, but it was sold out.
I didn't get the eyeliner! Booo next time I will! I've heard their mineral eye shadows are the bomb.com! Do you follow them on Pinterest? They have been posting pictures of their new products they are going to release and it looks AMAZING! Lot's more HD products!
Working on my loot post now!! Thanks for the Instagram heads up during the sale by the way!
i love love love e.l.f. products! and i kinda want all of these, haha. ;)

You are kidding me right??? Better than Make Up Forever's HD powder? I am trusting you! And I love their liner marker...it's my fave of theirs.
Shanna
i went to their website the other day to order my eye brightener because they never sell it in stores and everything new that I wanted was out of stock! I was so bummed! You got a haul though!
i got a few elf products in my mascara and lipgloss swap!!! i love the gloss :) want to try a few that you have!! i've heard it's sold at target?!? the eye shadow i got i had the same reaction as you...although i use it as my quick go to for a casual day!!
I got e.l.f stuff yesterday! I love that eyeliner and stocked up on more colors too. I also really, really love their conditioning lip balm. I gotta try the primer!
I got my package from their sale yesterday and am SO EXCITED! Thanks to you, I ordered the HD powder, which I can't wait to try. I looooove the cream eyeliner and ordered it in my usual black and also a purple color this time. I don't like their other eyeliners, though.
I've gotten elf's regular eyeshadow at Target before and was unimpressed, but a friend of mine swears by the mineral eyeshadows. I got some in my order that came in yesterday, but I haven't tried them yet.
I should have ordered the face primer. Smashbox's is THE BEST but it's expensive.
I LOVE E.L.F. Thanks for the review, you did a few products that I've been thinking of getting!
Love elf stuff...most of it, anyway
I've been wanting to try the High Def Powder - glad to hear it's worth it!
I've never tried anything ELF ... I think I need to!!!
Okay, I think I've figured ELF out. Anything foundation/color related (things that are pigmented like shadows and blushes) just are not good but some of their other things like their powders, liner and tools are pretty good. I don't know. Maybe that's just me! I got the coral blush and it is awful :( So not impressed. But the other stuff I like. I tried the facial whip and it came out all weird and blotchy but perhaps I need to shake it up more. Still not as good as high beam, but that's just me. Good thing it was all cheap!! :)
Ahhh I wish I had know about this sale! I love now thorough your reviews are since I'm not really a makeup person and don't like to test drive products lol.
I've been wanting to try ELF but have heard super conflicting reviews!
I haven't tried e.l.f. is years, but you made me want to buy some!
I love the elf HD powder and the blushes. not a fan of the eyeshadows - I just don't find they are very pigmented.
