hi. my name is tara and i can't stop reading the pretty little liars books. no, i have never watched the tv show. yes, i know you think i'm crazy for that. a million of you have told me i need to watch the show, but knowing myself and my husband, i know i'll never get control of the tv remote long enough to catch up on 3 seasons. so instead i decided to read the books! i've been told that they are not on point with the show, but they are full of drama and the suspense has totally sucked me in! they are fun, quick reads and they are so addicting!

I loved the PLL books. I've read them all (so far), and recently watched the show. Personally, I kind of liked that there are a lot of differences between the books and the show because it keeps my interest. I'm not always like "I know what's going to happen next". The first 2 seasons of PLL are on Netflix ... I watched them on my phone while my husband was watching football/baseball!
I think the show looks ridiculously over the top, but my sis in law told me that the books are better and really good, so I do have a few of them sitting around waiting to be read....and I will totally get around to reading them. {sometime} I feel like I'm going to love them and then obsessively watch the show afterwords LOL

Ok, someone blogged about the season finale of PLL a little bit ago, and I went right out and watched the first two season on Netflix within a week. I'm still trying to catch up on Season 3 (since it just ended, it's nearly impossible to get more than 3 episodes). I was thinking of reading the books, but was afraid they'd be too "YA" for me. I have a really hard time suffering through the oft-cheesiness of YA books. I'm glad to know you like them. I do know that they don't follow the show exactly, and I'd love to know how someone who watches the show feels about the books. Thanks so much for sharing this!
I have not read the books or watched the TV shows either, but everyone tells me I need to watch. I think it started on a night when I already had other shows on, so it just never made it into the rotation. Glad to know the books are good though.

I swear I read half of those books in a weekend! obsessed, and I own them all, I didn't have the patience to wait for them at the library! haha I hope you like them :)

Here's to a million and one, you NEED to watch the show. I haven't even read the books but I am obsessed with the show! I can't believe there's so many books, I never realized that haha! Are they all short reads or something?
I've been obsessed with the show, but I need it to end soon. I need answers. I'm ready to move on, but now I can't without getting answers! Haha! I haven't read the books, but I heard the show veered pretty far off the path.
I'm definitely addicted to the PLL show but I have heard the books are great too. I have an iPad and a kindle so at some point I will read those books.

I just wrote a post about my new addiction to PLL. Seriously.
I've been thinking about trying to catch up with the show on Netflix. Then I realize that I just did that with The Vampire Diaries [the books are near the top of my To Be Read list!] and I think my husband would have a fit if I started watching another "silly" show.
ADORE the PLL books, I love them a lot more than the show actually haha. Glad you enjoyed them!
I'm catching up on season 3 of PLL - I never watched them until less than a month ago! OBSESSED. I need to head to the library and check out the books. :-)
I want to read the books! And the tv show is totally awesome! If you ever get the chance to watch it I would totally do so! Definitely worth wrestling the husband for the remote!
I have most of the books on my ipad, but haven't read them. I LOOOOVE the show though! You should catch up if you have time :) I def need to start the books!
Since the books have been out a lot longer than the show, wouldn't it be that show that is not on point? :)
I read a lot of the Gossip Girls books and was shocked at how different the show was. I ended up liking them both for different reasons.

I caught up on the show on Netflix, but have missed this season.
I just got the first book from the library on Friday. Can't wait to start reading it!
I'm glad to hear someone else is as obsessed with these books as I am. I think they are so fun to read.
